Chestnut

Latest adventure: Chestnut Mountain.

I know what you're thinking, "Where's Chestnut?" I'd tell you, but that'd be hard and impractical since nobody is reading this. So if you'd like to know go to Barrel Mountaineering; ask them.

So Adam and Christa and I went to get the gear that Adam and I left up there this summer because we're too lazy to carry it. Of course Adam and I brought the Uni's as a means of transportation.

Lessons Learned:
  • Riding uphill sucks.
  • Riding down steep stuff is exciting and involves falling.
  • The fat tire uni is awesome at rolling little bumps.
  • I throw the uni when I fall. (video to follow)
  • Backpacks are lifesavers.
  • Gloves are essential.
  • Riding a muni is fun as hell.
So on with the story:

First, there's lots of uphill and we're both way too exhausted and falling way too often to take any decent pictures. Then, Victory!

Some sweet mountains in the background and a beautiful day.

The business, a steep very loose downhill section, the most challenging (impossible) part of the ride.

A steep turn in pretty loose dirt.

Some nice trail with pretty scenery.

This nice little drop that Adam completes quite nicely. I don't quite make it instead choosing impaling myself on this log.

Turns out I can't ride over logs.

A nice little single track hill.

And the easy road ride out.

All pictures were taken by the wonderful Christa, the resident artist.

All packing was done by the large and in charge Loki.
